قررت لجنة القيم بمجلس الشعب بعد انعقادها مساء اليوم الاثنين، تأجيل قرارها بشأن النائب زياد العليمى على خلفية الاتهامات الموجهة إليه بسب المشير محمد حسين طنطاوى، إلى الأسبوع المقبل.

وأوضح المهندس أشرف ثابت وكيل المجلس، فى تصريحات صحفية، أن سبب التأجيل يعود لاطلاع اللجنة على الدفوع الذى قدمه زياد والنائب سعد عبود، فى الواقعة لإصدار قرارها بشكل نهائى، على أن يحق له منح "النائب" فترة للتظلم.

وعند خروج اللجنة من اجتماعها عرض النائب أشرف ثابت لـ"العليمى" أن مجمع اللغة العربية أصدر بياناً وجه للمجلس، مفاده "إن ما قاله النائب يعتبر سبًا واضحًا".

وعلق زياد على البيان قائلاً "لماذا لم يعرض على وأنا بالداخل" فقال "ثابت" إنه وصل فى نهاية الجلسة.

وتابع العليمى قائلاً لـ "ثابت": " إن البيان موقع من رئيس المجمع وهو ليس أستاذا للغة إنما أستاذ شريعة بجانب أنه ينتمى للإخوان المسلمين".
